I'm curious as to how you would propose he override provincial legislation? What happens when Danny Smith stomps her feet and says no?

Also I'd be interested in seeing you expand on how you think he would be able to write a piece of legislation, get it past 3 readings in the House, through the Senate and on to Royal Assent in five weeks.

Asking what anyone else would do including the Opposition is a distraction from holding Carney accountable for his campaign commitment to end barriers to domestic free trade by July 1 — as soon as the campaign ended he inserted “federal” aspects, and now it’s introduce legislation on federal aspects by July 1, then take the summer off. Campaign Carney was taking credit for what the Provinces, and only the Premiers, can do —so it’s on him for breaking his promise. Expect many more commitments backed off from what voters expected.

Asking what you would do is asking for a comment with some substance instead of the constant criticisms and negativity from the Conservatives. It’s easy to criticize when you don’t have any skin in the game.

Why can’t you guys rally behind Carney to help him get things done? Instead you seem to do everything to stop him and then criticize (yet again) that he couldn’t do it.

It will take you and the courageous Melissa Lantsman to create some fuss in Parliament. You are right: he needs to repeal C-69 but I believe Steven Guilbeault and the province of Quebec will not allow that to happen. I hope that Pierre gets a seat soon. Or, pin down Andrew Scheer so as to create public awareness since the media will continue to support Carney (who continues to hand them money).

What nonsense! True there is huge support for Carney. He won the election with that support.

I’m not as positive as you seem that there was a real win. If any winning happened, Trump and the media created that. Keep your eye on what Carney does, not what the media sell.

It goes without saying that in a minority government he will need support to get the legislation through. That’s where your side of the team comes in, playing the “loyal opposition”. Carney will succeed if you play yourmrole. I’m sure you know that. I’m hoping that this sitting is not the same childlike spitballing and heckling that was so ineffective before. But for sure, have at it to make the legislation the kind that can be voted on and sail through…senate and all. We need that, all of us Canadians.

Rest assure the conservatives will support Carney when Carney & his Liberals bring into legislation what is good for Canadians! They will not support any of his devious schemes that he seems to be hiding! So far Carney’s

blubbering are word salads!

Thank you for this, Mr Lawrence. As a tax paying Canadian, I’d like to know about 1. The “billions earmarked by Canada for tariff relief”, as Atty Jeff Childers mentioned in his “Coffee & Covid” blog yesterday, and 2. the alleged deal Carney made with Trump to remove all tariffs on Canadian exports to USA. Yet Canadians continue to pay tariffs on USA imports. Is this widely known? I have absolutely no trust in what Carney says; he’s just a more clever version of Trudeau.

OMG you're all worked up on made up stuff!

Much like this article that's mad at Carney for not having more power over provincial laws. But weren't you the people that hated Trudeau because you thought he was interfering in the rights of provinces? So which is it?

Carney has told us about his discussions with the First Ministers and from those discussions he said inter-provincial trade would happen. Several of the Premiers have agreed. It would seem obvious that agreements between provinces are being made.

Can you not give him a minute ?

I'm finding it hard to believe that real people are this cynical and twisted in knots by clickbait podcasters. So sad.

Do I seem “worked up”, or you? I will give everybody a chance, but I value honesty and trust. I do not find any credibility in what’s going on with Carney. We used to have a Parliamentary system which I’m seeing disappear, and that’s the game with the globalists. I hope you’re still young enough to have hope and not be disappointed in how things turn out for Canada. God bless you.

Mr Lawrence, I live in your riding. You did not win by a huge number of votes, and if you continue along this negative path you seem to be on, I’m pretty sure you will not be elected again. Perhaps consider that many of your constituents would like you to help Carney achieve his promises, including your supporters. Carney has spoken about reducing taxes, getting tougher on crime, reducing hst on homes etc, etc. isn’t that what the Conservatives pledged too? Don’t be a sore loser but rather get to work in helping this country be even better.

it's the liberal way - to decoy, delay and deny... 3 days in and carney has lost Canadians faith in him. Personally - after learning all about him, well before he signed up to run, his business court cases (millions in fines paid) & his plagiarisms, his wef & un affiliations (Canadians frown on) his UK failure (asked to resign)... then hands out for a job here - I saw the writing on the wall.
